1. Service Description

MakePhysical provides an AI-powered platform for designing and manufacturing custom 3D-printed enclosures for IoT devices. Users describe their requirements, our AI generates parametric designs, and we coordinate manufacturing through third-party 3D printing services.

2. AI-Generated Designs

Designs are generated using artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude). While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated designs may contain imperfections. Users are responsible for reviewing designs before placing orders. MakePhysical does not guarantee that designs will meet specific performance requirements.

3. Manufacturing

Manufacturing is performed by third-party 3D printing services. While we select reputable manufacturers, please be aware of the following:

• Dimensional tolerances may vary by material and printing technology (typically +/- 0.2mm for SLA)
• Color and surface finish may vary slightly between batches
• Material properties may differ from injection-molded equivalents
• Lead times are estimates and may vary based on manufacturer capacity

4. Orders and Payment

All prices are displayed in USD. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By placing an order, you agree to pay the stated price. Promotional codes and discounts are applied at checkout and cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

5. Refund Policy

• Before production starts: Full refund available upon request
• During production: Refunds evaluated on a case-by-case basis
• After delivery: Refunds for manufacturing defects only (e.g., cracked parts, wrong dimensions). Cosmetic variations within manufacturing tolerances are not eligible.

6. Shipping

Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, weather, or carrier issues. International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are the responsibility of the buyer.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain all intellectual property rights to your design descriptions and parameters. MakePhysical retains rights to the parametric design system and AI-generated code. We will not share or sell your designs to third parties without your consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

MakePhysical products are not suitable for medical devices, safety-critical applications, food contact, or high-temperature environments unless explicitly specified. We are not liable for damages resulting from misuse or use beyond the specified design parameters.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific order in question.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use MakePhysical to design or manufacture items that are illegal, dangerous, or intended for harmful purposes including weapons, explosives, or items that infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
